The two owners of Cyrus are the perfect match, where you have Executive Chef Douglas Keane and General Manager Nick Peyton. They got to know each other at the acclaimed Gary Darko restaurant in San Francisco. Back then Chef Douglas was the Sous Chef and Nick was involved in creating the restaurant in his capacity as General Manager. All gourmet lovers around the world should be grateful for the owner duo of Cyrus since they have created a restaurant level, just beyond impeccable food.
Douglas Keane and Nick Peyton are not too fond of job titles. They are just themselves and they do a fantastic job in offering the 60 guests in the dining room a luxurious experience for them to remember and indulge. The two owners are amongst the most humble persons you can meet. They know that they are doing an impeccable job and that is it. You can simply taste Chef Keane’s contemporary cuisine, heavily influenced by France or just sit at your table and Peyton will show you how genuine hospitality is supposed to be delivered. Nick has devoted around 40 years of his life to hospitality and to take good care of you. Every single guest in his dining room is treated as the most important person ever so be prepared to feel selected.
Douglas Keane works closely in the kitchen with his Chef Drew Glassell who is a California native and former marine. Glassell is very involved in the development of the cuisine just as the behind the scenes day-to-day operations. The cooperation between Keane and Glassel works perfectly well and you can not ask for a better team in the kitchen combined with such an amazing service in the dining room.
Cyrus is a restaurant impossible not to fall in love with, with a team of such impressive talents, with everyone from the amazing Bartender Adam Welch to the Wine Director Kevin Reilly. The team really cares for you and you will feel that they do not pretend, it is genuine, and the food they serve you, made of the best local produce is something really extra so do never hesitate when it comes to make a decision for Cyrus.
