The town’s prime position along the main road puts you within easy reach of Yountville, home to the renowned restaurants The French Laundry and Bouchon by acclaimed chef Thomas Keller. Just a few kilometers away, you’ll find the Michelin-starred restaurant Press, helmed by Chef Philip Tessier. During our stay, we also visited notable wineries like Inglenook, owned by the famous movie director Francis Ford Coppola, which is just minutes from St. Helena and Southbridge Napa Valley. The hotel’s location is perfect for those looking to explore the region’s top vineyards and culinary gems, making it an ideal destination for wine enthusiasts and food lovers.

To the right, you will find the reception desk, while the left side features an elevator and stairs leading to the guest rooms.

The rooms at Southbridge Napa Valley are designed to provide the perfect blend of comfort, elegance, and tranquility, creating a welcoming retreat in the heart of Napa Valley. Our room, located on the first floor, was accessed by taking an elevator and crossing a small bridge connecting the buildings. Upon opening the door, we were immediately struck by the room’s impressive size. Each room is spacious and thoughtfully arranged, featuring high ceilings and large windows that flood the space with natural light, enhancing the serene atmosphere. All the furniture is located near the walls, which creates large open spaces in the middle of the room. The refined yet understated decor includes plush furnishings, warm tones, and tasteful accents that convey a relaxed sophistication. A desk is conveniently placed against the wall on the left side. Every room is equipped with a cozy fireplace, offering warmth and charm, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring local vineyards. The private balconies are a standout feature, providing a peaceful spot to enjoy the fresh air and picturesque views of the lush surrounding landscape. The room also features luxurious bedding for a restful night’s sleep, as well as modern amenities like complimentary Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. A wardrobe is located near the entrance, and next to it is the bathroom. Though not overly large, the bathroom is well-equipped, with gray tones dominating the design. High-quality bath products are provided in eco-friendly carton packaging to minimize environmental impact. Whether you’re savoring a quiet morning with a cup of coffee on your balcony or relaxing by the fire in the evening, the rooms at Southbridge Napa Valley offer a serene and comfortable sanctuary, allowing guests to fully unwind and immerse themselves in the Napa Valley experience.

Gastronomy

Even though the hotel has no restaurant, that is absolutely no issue if you get hungry because there are plenty of dining options nearby. You can explore the town of St. Helena, which offers a variety of eateries. There are also several fine dining establishments in the vicinity. Michelin starred restaurants The French Laundry by Thomas Keller and Press Restaurant by Chef Philip Tessier are both just a short drive away. If you are in the mood for exceptional brasserie fare, you can also visit Bouchon in Yountville, another of Thomas Keller’s renowned restaurants. For those craving high-quality American fast food, Gott’s Roadside is just a three-minute walk from the hotel, offering incredible burgers and hot dogs.

While there is no on-site restaurant owned by the hotel, they do provide breakfast. You receive a form to select your breakfast choices and the time you want it to be served. After filling it out, simply drop it off at the front desk before bedtime, and in the morning, breakfast is delivered to your room.

The gym is equipped with modern exercise machines, including cardio equipment, free weights, and strength-training stations, all within a bright and inviting space that promotes both activity and relaxation. Additionally, the spa features a heated outdoor lap pool, ideal for a refreshing swim or a leisurely dip. Surrounded by lush greenery, the pool area offers a tranquil setting to unwind after a day of exploring Napa Valley. To ensure a peaceful environment, the spa requests that hotel guests make a reservation for pool use, as the pool is primarily used for lap swimming, and this helps manage the number of guests at any given time.
