Restaurant
Eleven
Lisbon, Portugal
The gourmet restaurant Eleven is set on top of the Parque Eduardo VII and has one of Lisbon’s most unique city centre views. One will discover this restaurant in the Business district of Lisbon, where it is overlooking the entire city and surrounded by lush gardens and parks.
The architecture of the restaurant building is modern and minimalistic, with the use of natural materials like wood and decorative stones. The enormous glass windows open up towards the city of Lisbon and offer a stunning view on the beautiful city.
German Chef Patron Joachim Koerper fell in love with the cuisine and ingredients of Southern Europe. Before his time in Portugal, he worked in renowned restaurants all over Europe, such as L’Ambroisie, Moulin de Mougins, Guy Savoy, Hostellerie du Cerf and Chapon Fin. Today he is one of the masters of a flavoured Mediterranean cuisine. In his kitchen philosophy he emphasises on the use of natural and fresh ingredients that are coming from the surrounding area.
His menu changes on a regular basis, according to the season and the availability of the produce. His plates always get a little signature detail, being a small tomato cube, which is more decorative than a flavour element. A good example of his cuisine is the gold bar dish, which consists out of a foie gras terrine with orange bread, rum and a Portugese white bread toast. Another starter is the preparation with crawfish, accompanied by a ball of lobster and almonds, and served with an intense jus of tomato and parsley.
Restaurant Eleven is a great option for fine dining in the Lisbon area. Chef Patron Joachim Koerper manages to combine top-quality local ingredients, a traditional cooking base, and Mediterranean influences. Together with his team he offers his guests a contemporary and fine-dining experience, topped with stunning views over Lisbon.
