Reinamora Restaurant is the most southern fine dining restaurant in the world and it can be found inside the five star Los Cauquenes Resort & Spa in Ushuaia. No foodie can say that he has been to all the world’s best and most exotic restaurants until he has paid a visit to Reinamora at the end of the world.

Re inamora Restaurant is located in the Land of Fire or Tierra del Fuego which is an archipelago off the southernmost tip of the South American mainland. The main island Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego is divided between Chile and Argentina. Reinamora can be found in Argentina’s most southern city – Ushuaia.

The Land of Fire is the last part of the majestic Patagonia and the next stop south is the Antarctica. You really feel like you are a long way from home while you are having your meal at Reinamora Restaurant at the same time as you are having beautiful views of the Beagle Channel and the imposing Andes Mountain Range. The location of the Los Cauquenes Resort & Spa is spot on and the architecture of the hotel feels just right with its wood and stone. The main dining room is far from modern or luxurious, but works well in the environment.

Executive Chef Mariano Cacchiotti’s cuisine is a mix of regional Patagonian and international. Chef Cacchiotti has several jobs and also works as the Food & Beverage Manager as well as the Restaurant Manager so you can expect to see him in both a suit and in the traditional chef’s uniform on different occasions. Chef de Cuisine Sebastián Micheletti offers a great assistance to Cacchiotti and he is staying in the kitchen.

Los Cauquenes Resort & Spa has an excellent wine cellar which offers more than 100 labels of the best Argentinean wines so order in a bottle of the amazing Angelica Zapata while you and your company are having a whole king crab with remoulade, roasted garlic butter and extra virgin olive oil. It is delicious, and other recommendations are the rock octopus from the Beagle Channel with seasonal vegetables and beans and the black hake with cauliflower mash with peas cream to just mention a couple of the dishes from the regularly changed menu.

Reinamora Restaurant will not take your taste buds to paradise, but the restaurant offers an exotic ambience which is something you do not have every day and it is a must visit if you are in the region.
