The Yeatman’s Restaurant overlooks the Douro river and delivers the city’s most inspiring dining experience. In an environment that mixes classic comfort with a spectacular view, Executive chef Ricardo Costa delivers an unforgettable dining experience. He offers an imaginative cuisine which brings the very best of Portugal’s gastronomy into his creative dishes. His dishes are sophisticated and creative, but always respect the best of Portuguese culinary tradition. High-quality Portuguese fresh ingredients and fish are interpreted and presented with a contemporary look. Delicious fresh turbot is served with green beans, dried garlic and an intense Pitau sauce made from fish consommé with fish liver. His Leitão preparation is a refined combination from suckling pig belly with roasted and fermented baby onions, chanterelle mushrooms and a cream of Azorean cheese.
In combination with the tasting menus, The Yeatman’s sommeliers offer interesting wine pairings, which allow guests to discover a play between matching and contrasting flavours. They take you on a journey through Portugal’s diverse and varied wine regions. The wine cellars of The Yeatman contain 25.000 bottles and bring together over 1,000 different labels. A special wine dinners program is organised every Thursday night, showcasing each time another wine producer. During these dinners the chef matches his flavourful dishes and desserts to the aromas of the selected wines. Each course is tailor-made for each wine.
