Michel Sarran – pleasure seller

Chef Patron Michel Sarran understands the value of delivering a complete experience and not just good food or great service. Today’s aware restaurant visitors demand something extra for their time and money. A connoisseur like Michel Sarran knows everything about how to sell pleasure to his guests – a complete package and not just another meal.

Michel Sarran is involved in several restaurants, like Café Emma in Barcelona, but if you like to have the best you should make a trip to his flagship restaurant in Toulouse. There is not an overwhelming amount of top restaurants in the French Midi-Pyrénées region so Michel Sarran’s gem is more than welcome.

Michel Sarran’s mother, Pierrette, was a cook and the owner of l’Auberge du Bergerayre in Saint Martin d’Armagnac in south of France where Michel also was born. Chef Sarran initially planned to become a doctor when he studied medicine, but it did not take him more than two years to discover that his true passion was for gastronomy. He started to work for some of the foremost chefs of France, like Alain Ducasse, Michel Guérard and Jean-Michel Lorain. Young Sarran eventually made a name for himself and he had his first appointment as Head Chef at Résidence la Pinède in Saint-Tropez in 1989. He opened his eponymous restaurant in Toulouse in 1995, and it did not take long before it was a success.

Michel Sarran restaurant is located inside a mansion ideal for a fine dining restaurant. Michel’s brother has partly decorated the restaurant and its relaxing indoor garden. We recommend a drink in any of the lounges before you proceed with your dinner.

The cuisine has local roots and is based on local ingredients, but Michel Sarran has travelled extensively which you will notice in his cuisine with influences from all over the world like Italy, Thailand and Brazil. There are three menus to choose from and an à la carte as well. Why not go for a surprise menu and let the Chef indulge you?

Michel Sarran’s aim to give you a complete experience and offer you true pleasure has really succeeded. The restaurant is a must for all food lovers.
