Il Teatro is the signature restaurant of Four Seasons Hotel Milan which is located right in the middle of the Quadrilatero d’Oro fashion district which offers some of the best shopping anywhere for everyone into fashion. The former 1476 convent, which opened as a hotel in 1993, offers some of the city’s best when it comes to discreet and stylish luxury all packed with flawless service as expected from the Four Season Hotel brand.
IL Teatro is one of the restaurants to be at and to be seen at during your Milan stay and Executive Chef Sergio Mei and his team have made everything demanded to become one of the city’s best restaurants. Sergio Mei has been the Executive Chef since the hotel opened in 1993 and he has written several books about food.
You have your dinner on the lower lobby level overlooking the beautiful inner Il Patio garden and you can dine chambre séparée as well as at the “Chef’s Table” located in the kitchen. Twelve persons can be seated for private dining with excellent interactivity with the kitchen staff explaining their gastronomic work.
The menu is changed regularly, but is based on traditional Italian haute cuisine only served with the best ingredients available. We can highly recommend to order in the scallops consisting of several variations; carpaccio with cucumbers, chives and caviar; tartare with extra virgin olive oil, ginger and salmon eggs; browned on a rehot stone with smoked paprika; and mango gazpacho with lime. All different scallop combinations work well indeed and taste great. The same style with variations of appetisers can be ordered based on asparagus, crab, tuna and beef tartare as well.
Executive Chef Sergio Mei and Four Seasons Hotel Milan have succeeded well with Il Teatro. Their location in Milan is perfect and the taste of the food gives you just what you want for a lunch or dinner in a stylish environment not too uptight.
