Master Chef Joël Robuchon has several L’Ateliers de Joël Robuchon at hot spots around the world. They all share the same concept, with a circular bar enveloping an open kitchen which allows the guests to see all the cooking like in a sushi restaurant, but with haute cuisine instead. The concept of somewhat more casual haute cuisine is brilliant and you will find the same at L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon Hong Kong, but in addition there is also a more formal area of the restaurant called Le Jardin.
Le Jardin is more reminiscent of a formal French luxury restaurant of elegance and level of service. You also have access to an outdoor rooftop garden terrace. It does not feel too formal at Le Jardin and even if the cuisine is mainly traditional French it is always served with Joël Robuchon’s touch and impeccable sense of the perfect flavours which never disappoint your taste buds. You can also grab a quick bite downstairs at the French tea salon named Le Salon De Thé de Joël Robuchon, if you do not have the time for the more proper fine dining establishments upstairs.
If you have been to any L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon around the world you will feel familiar with the contemporary interior in lush red velvet, glass sections and dark wood furniture. The style is sexy and very appealing and despite the fact that the original design was created several years ago, the concept still feels modern. And the condition of L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon in Hong Kong is second to none – it feels like the restaurant is brand new. Impressive, considering the fact that it was created in 2006.
There are different menus at the three restaurants and they have different opening hours as well. Le Salon De Thé simply has light food and is no fine dining, Le Jardin’s menu consists of French gourmet and L’Atelier’s menu is similar to the other L’Ateliers around the world with contemporary French classics served like tapas of smaller sized dishes.
Super Chef and restaurateur Joël Robuchon is recognised for always having some of the best talents in the business around himself and the team at L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon in Hong Kong is no exception. The fact is that the Hong Kong outlet is one of the very best in the whole world thanks to the complete concept offered, the amazing cuisine, the high consistency level and some of the best service in the business.
