Chef Patron Guy Savoy has been around for a long time now and he is one of the best chefs on the planet. His first Restaurant Guy Savoy opened in 1980 in Paris. Guy Savoy is well-known for his passion for mushrooms and it does not get better than the different truffles. The amazing ingredient is included in many of the Chef’s dishes.
The Restaurateur and Chef Patron has several restaurants, but is most famous for his flagship restaurant in Paris with his own name, his Las Vegas restaurant, and his Singapore restaurant. In addition he is the owner of several bistros, but he spends most of his time at his eponymous restaurant in Paris where the Chef himself asks you what to have and if you like what you have had. A personal style rather unique for chefs at Monsieur Savoy’s level, but very rewarding for you as a guest.
There are numerous things that make Guy Savoy one of the very best chefs available anywhere – everything from his genius cooking to his sense of humour in both his personality and in his presentations of the food. Having fun, feeling welcomed without any glued and fake smiles and enjoying the surroundings are just as important as eating well and this comes across in all ways, from the moment you enter, to the professional staff who is always around to be of service, to the world class cuisine and Guy Savoy himself who is something of a French cooking god. And forget all about snobbish French restaurants. Guy Savoy and his team make you almost feel like you are invited home to the Chef himself.
Everything is amazing about Guy Savoy, but especially the food and that is what really counts. You can choose from different set menus and à la carte. There are many delicious dishes, but a safe bet is to select the set menu called “Colours, textures and savours” and you will have an evening to never forget.
Guy Savoy is about to have a part of the Left Bank’s Hotel de la Monnaie and install both a gastronomic restaurant on the first floor as well as a more casual café, called Metal Café, on the ground floor of the complex. We shall be surprised if his new fine dining restaurant at Hotel de la Monnaie will be anything less than brilliance just as his present amazing restaurant at 18 rue Troyon. Hopefully the Chef will continue with his inviting, fun and personal style at his new Hotel de la Monnaie restaurant as well.
Guy Savoy manages to offer his guests a perfect balance between fun, warmth and perfect flavours. You are surrounded by beautiful art all over the dining room and the whole experience is like a masterpiece of art – something you never get tired of. Guy Savoy is of a rare kind of genuine super chefs and wbpstars.com can only stay in line and bow to the master.
