Ask is a small and charming establishment run by the couple Filip Langhoff and Linda Stenman-Langhoff. Filip heads up the kitchen while Linda runs the front of the house including being sommelier. The couple met in 1998 and worked and travelled around Europe before they opened Ask in 2012. They have worked at places together like Chez Dominique where Filip was Head Chef, Feinschmecker in Oslo and Filip even had a short spell at El Bulli.

Ask has a philosophy of using organic produce sourced from small farmers and producers locally. The menu is inspired by the nature and what is in season. To the menu there is a good pairing of wines or non-alcoholic beverage menu. The cooking is modern Nordic and the dishes are nicely focused with distinct flavours.

The cosy place is situated in the Kruununhaka neighbourhood and has a tastefully decorated interior in a clean fifties and sixties style with lot of original pieces from that period.

It is well worth a visit if you are interested in a delicious organic Nordic food experience in a friendly intimate place.
