Restaurant Feitoria is located on the ground floor of the hotel and offers a beautiful view on the river just in front. The restaurant concept and part of the interior are inspired by the adventurous spirit of the Portuguese explorers and the routes they discovered during their travels. The interior of the restaurant is modern and cosmopolitan, with white, black and gold colours setting a warm atmosphere. The big tables offer the guests much space for a comfortable dining experience.
Executive Chef João Rodrigues gained experience in Portuguese restaurants and is a master of the cuisine of his home country. As in all the Altis hotels, everything starts with top-quality products. João Rodrigues has a predilection for national products & authentic preparations, but loves to combine them with exotic influences. Experience and presentation are important for the chef. Tableside preparations, show elements, and nicely decorated plates are an important part of the meal.
The preparation with the famous Carabineros from the Algarve region is a good example of the chef’s love for quality products and traditional flavours. The dish looks simple but excels in flavour: Carabineros are sautéed and completed with a sauce made from the heads. The sauce is made with an original silver duck press and prepared at the table. An excellent example of the beauty of simplicity.
Wines are an important aspect of restaurant Feitoria as well. Of course, most of the selection comes from Portugal and the menu offers interesting choices for every budget and every taste. The pairing wine selection with the menu is an interesting option for a journey through to the different Portuguese wine regions. Service is professional, discrete and attentive.
