Restaurant
Pedro Lemos
Porto, Portugal
In an old beautifully renovated old stone building in the north of the city of Porto you will find the restaurant Pedro Lemos. You enter the bottom floor where you have a wine cellar and a private dining room. Upstairs you have the main dining room with around 20 comfortable seats in a nicely decorated and modern interior. There is also a wonderful outdoor terrace for outdoor dining when itβs season.
The restaurant is run by Pedro Lemos himself. He serves a menu inspired by his Portuguese roots but Pedro also takes his inspiration from travels around the world. The dishes are contemporary with classical cooking so expect delicate and distinct flavours that will linger nicely. The menu changes continuously expect the delicious foie gras dish which has been a constant since day one.
Portugal is home to some excellent wines and Pedro Lemos has around 600 references so it is a great place if you want to discover and savour some top wines. Either you go for a bottle or go with the pairing and discover some exciting matches like madeira and foie gras.
As Porto is close to the sea expect some excellent fish dishes. As Pedro focus is quality first you will also enjoy ingredients from other countries. You have a choice of two signature menus for lunch or dinner and with these there are also some well-matched and recommended wine pairings.
