Fontanelle Estate is located in Castelnuovo Berardenga, Tuscany. In the middle of the famous Chianti region, known for its historic cities such as Siena and Firenze, wonderful food and great wines.

Driving through the hills of the Chianti region, between vineyards and woods we arrive at the most beautiful historic estate, on top of the hill, Hotel Le Fontanelle.

Rooms & Suites

Fontanelle Estate exists out of two entities, Hotel Le Fontanelle (5 stars, open since 2006) and The Club House (5 stars L open since May 2022). At Hotel Le Fontanelle you can go for a classic room, a prestige room, a deluxe room, a junior suite or a suite. All of the rooms have a real authentic Tuscan feeling, combined with luxury. The philosophy of the hotel is to make you feel at home and offer the guests a real Chianti living experience.

To start this Chianti experience, a small present awaits in your room: a bottle of the Vallepicciola Chianti Classico wine (the estate’s own wine) and cantucci (typical Tuscan almond cookies).

A bit higher upon the hill you can find the brand-new The Club House, a 5-star luxury experience with 15 rooms (12 Superior and 3 Master Suites), all these accommodations have access to the magnificent spa The Wellness Sanctuary and the panoramic outdoor pool.

Resort assets

Fontanelle Estate has a large set of assets, all focused on the complete Chianti living and luxury experience. They offer a wide range of wellness facilities such as an indoor pool, sauna, whirlpool, massages and several relaxing outdoor areas. At The Club House you can enjoy ‘The Wellness Sanctuary’ with an even wider range of experiences.

On site the Estate also has an offer for the more sportif guests, with two tennis courts, driving range, Pitch & Putt, a petanque field, a yoga studio and e-bikes. The property boasts a private covered parking and guests get a warm welcome of the hotel staff with a refreshing aromatic drink.

The property offers a shuttle service to bring guests to their favourite experience around the Estate. Off site the Estate’s staff gladly helps you discover the Chianti area. For example, ballooning, guided tours in Firenze, Siena and San Gimignano, rent a Ferrari, cooking class, etc.

Gastronomy

At the Estate you have several dining options. You can go for a classic Tuscan experience at Osteria il Tuscanico or a more gastronomic experience at La Colonna or Il Visibilio. Head chef of Osteria Il Tuscanico and Il Visibilio restaurant, Daniele Canella is in charge of a passionate and talented team who prepares every dish to perfection with high quality ingredients! At the ‘Al fresco’ pool bar, you can enjoy a Caesar salad, a pasta al pomodoro, a club sandwich and so much more.

For people who like wine, you can also visit the Vallepicciola winery (part of the Estate). They offer several tour and tasting options and there is the possibility to take these wonderful wines back home.
