ViewPoint Lodge & Fine Cuisines is located in the town of Nyaung Shwe near the famous Inle Lake, one of Myanmar’s top touristic locations. The beautiful lakeside setting gives the property a unique atmosphere and at night hints of magic are in the air. Inle Lake is located only 15 minutes away by boat – the perfect day trip.

ViewPoint Lodge & Fine Cuisines is an eco-resort and boasts 20 cottages dotted around a private lake, offering nice views on the water. The cottages blend perfectly with the beautiful surroundings and the ensemble oozes calmness. All of the private cottages are elegantly decorated in traditional Shan style (the colourful Southern State of Myanmar where the town of Nyaung Shwe is located). They are all very comfortable and equipped with a fan, air conditioning, a remarkable traditional wooden Shan minibar and safety box. The superior rooms have a surface of 26 square metres and are built on piles on the lake. The cottage rooms have a surface of 52 square metres, are also built on piles on the lake and have an en-suite living room. They also feature a balcony with views on the lake or the mountains. All rooms have a private bathroom with interesting local bath & care products. Other nice details on the property are food for the ducks, a very nice lounge bar, and a high quality music selection in the public areas.

As the name states, ViewPoint Lodge & Fine Cuisines is also known for its delicious food. The breakfast is served on a wooden ‘boat’ and offers local and international delicacies. At restaurant The Shan, guests can enjoy Burmese specialties with a panoramic view on the surroundings. The tasting menus are a great way to discover different dishes from this unknown but fascinating cuisine. At The Lounge, one can sample French and Western dishes. There also is an on-site bar for a relaxing moment with some cocktails after a day on the lake.

The hotel is perfectly located for different activities nearby. A day on the famous Inle Lake is a must, but one can also visit the town of Nyaung Shwe (within walking distance), a golf course (25 minutes drive), vineyards (by bike), or an elephant camp (three hours drive).
