Hotel Jagdhof
Neustift im Stubaital, Austria
Be inspired by tradition, excellence and Austrian nature and discover the high-class Relais & Châteaux SPA hotel Jagdhof in Neustift im Stubaital. This family driven property is an exceptional place with a very special atmosphere and breathtaking views on the surrounding Stubai Valley. Hospitality and tradition are key in the philosophy of the Pfurtscheller family. Throughout the years, they expanded the Jagdhof hotel slowly but certainly, and built a very personal resort where guest attention and luxury service are a standard. The service is excellent and the traditional touches, like the authentic Dirndl dresses for the waitresses make the experience even more special.
Surrounded by the scenic Tyrolean Mountains, this hotel in the traditional Tyrolean style is the perfect starting point for various holidays. From spring until autumn, the region is well known by hikers and mountaineers. The Stubai Valley is a destination for all seasons and beside the beautiful summer views, many guests choose this region for winter activities. In winter, the area is transformed into a snowy wonderland with great quality slopes and an ultimate ski experience on the Stubai glacier, Austria’s largest glacier ski area.
The Jagdhof hotel has 70 very luxurious rooms, suites and apartments. They are all furnished in a typically Tyrolean style. Think lots and lots of wood, warm colours like brown, gold, red and green, beautiful fireplaces, and traditional rugs. Warmth is an understatement.
The personal service-approach is extended to the rooms. They are all very big, ranging from 40 up to 115 square metres, divided into several living areas. Every room is different with attention to the smallest details. Antique country furniture is in line with the ancient traditions of artisanship. Rare woodcarvings as well as handcrafted timber panelling create a comfortable ambience that is authentic and luxurious at the same time. Every room offers guests a spectacular view from the balcony on either the surrounding ice-capped mountains or the hotel’s 5,000 square metres natural garden. While the interior remains authentic, all modern amenities like flat screen television are available.
A day at the Jagdhof starts with a lavish breakfast buffet and a coffee with view on the mountains. In the afternoon, the hotel offers a selection of cakes that are included in the halfboard packages. In addition to the hotel’s excellent halfboard restaurant, guests can enjoy a fine dining experience in the Hubertusstube restaurant. Here, the kitchen focuses on locally sourced seasonal foods like lamb from the hotel’s own farm, or game from its own preserve. Please, see our restaurant section for more details about the Hubertusstube gourmet restaurant.
Jagdhof’s Gourmet Gondola is Tyrol’s smallest restaurant. Yet, it is one of the most remarkable! The former cable car gondola seats up to six guests and has been beautifully converted. It stands on the hotel terrace where guests can enjoy spectacular views of the glacier while enjoying a meat, cheese or chocolate fondue. An experience that cannot be missed when visiting the Jagdhof hotel.
Jagdhof’s wine cellar is definitely one of the best in Austria, with 1,100 different wines in 20,000 bottles. It features top references from Burgundy and Bordeaux and the Château Mouton Rothschild collection is unique. A visit or private tasting session can be one of the highlights of your stay. The hotel’s cosy fireplace bar is almost as legendary as the wine cellar, and a great place to enjoy the bottle you just discovered in the cellar.
One of the main assets of the Jagdhof hotel is the groundbreaking SPA. The area offers 3000 sqm of wellness and is one of the largest and most exclusive wellbeing facilities in Austria. Guests can enjoy all year-round heated indoor/outdoor pools, an outdoor Jacuzzi with view on the mountains, stunning relaxation zones with waterbeds and wide terraces, beautifully landscaped, natural gardens and spectacular panoramas of the mighty Stubai glacier. This World of Vitality features over 20 inspirational saunas and baths. With 13 treatment rooms, the Joyful wellbeing area is entirely dedicated to beauty and offers a broad selection of treatments. For an intimate spa experience, make sure to book the 100sqm Private SPA Suite, located in the new Spa chalet.
Hotel Jagdhof is an icon in Tirol and one of those hotels that justifies a long journey on itself. From great gastronomy to an excellent spa, from superb service to a luxurious and authentic interior: everything about this place is unique and memorable.
