Although Queenstown is more renowned for its backpacking culture and its thrill seeking adventurers, The Dairy Private Luxury Hotel offers absolute comfort and peace. Located on the lower part of the southern island of New Zealand, it offers thirteen nicely decorated rooms, each with its own en suite bathroom. Though not overly spacious, the hotel has a very charming atmosphere thanks to the colonial architecture and the use of a lot of wood.
The hotel is perfectly located for the upscale traveller who wants to see the Milford Sound, one of New Zealand’s most spectacular sceneries. In winter, it is a good location to go skiing from. Separate rooms are available to stow away your winter gear and your muscles will enjoy the warm water of the spa after a long day of hitting the slopes.
As it is rather small and privately run, the hotel has no separate restaurant though the continental breakfast is of very high quality. Similarly, the afternoon tea comes with some delicious home baked pastries.
The hotel might not be the most luxurious in the world, it still provides high quality and top notch service in the midst of beautiful surroundings. Whenever you get to this far end of the world, you will undoubtedly be impressed by the charms of the Dairy Private Luxury Hotel.
The Dairy Private Luxury Hotel scored 90 of 100 points in our rating system.
